Uganda Search of Primates (7 days 6 nights)

Main Activities and attractions:Gorilla trekking

Time to Go: All the year, previous booking of the gorilla permits is required

Day 1: Kampala-Bwindi
Depart Kampala in the morning and drive southwards to Bwindi with your first stop over at the Equator,famous for photography. Then procee the journey viewing the long horned Ankole cattle, papyrus, acacia woodland and terraced landscape of Kigezi highlands on your way to Bwindi with lunch in Mbarara.

Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Gorilla Resort or similar

Day 2 - Gorilla Tracking
Early breakfast will be served followed with briefing from the guides, set off for the gorilla tracking in the forest sanctuary starting at 0800Hrs .You will leave with packed lunch, drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while and walking sticks will be provided by the rangers.

Overnight at Bwindi Gorilla Resort or similar

Day 3: Bwindi -Kampala
Breakfast will be served after which you will check out and return to Kampala with lunch enroute.

Drop off at the airport

The safari includes:
- Full board accommodation
- Ground transportation by a 4x4 Land Cruiser or minibus
- Park entrance fees.
- One Gorilla permit per person to be secured and paid for in advance.
- English Speaking Guide
- Government Taxes.

The safari excludes:
All cost of personal nature like drinks, tips, laundry, telephone etc.

This tour takes you to the best parks in Uganda for primates viewing, Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth and Kibale National Parks.

The highlights of the safari are the Gorilla tracking walk and the chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest and birding.

Day1:Arrival _Entebbe
Upon arrival you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to Kampala

Dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge or similar

Day 2: Kampala - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast check out and depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest through Mbarara with lunch en-route at Mabarara arriving Bwindi the home of the endangered mountain gorillas in the evening.

Day 3 - Mountains gorillas Tracking
Early breakfast willbe followed by briefing before the start of the gorilla trekking at 0800Hrs into this spectacular forest with heavily dense landscape.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4 Bwindi - Ishasha

After breakfast at the lodge , you drive will through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park home of -Tree climbing lions. Game drive in the open savannah on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley with lunch enroute. Later in the afternoon proceed to Mweya Safari Lodge or similar

Day 5 - Boat cruise (Lake Edward)
Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens’s mile tracks in the park.You may be luck to see lions, elephants, Cape buffalo, warthogs, leopard, spotted hyena, mongoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, topi among other animals and birds.

Later return to the lodge for breakfast folloed with leisure. After your lunch at the hotel go for a boat cruise for the best navigation of the Kazinga Channe.
This is a good opportunity for birding, as you will see many water birds which includes cormorants, pelicans, eagles, and many other birds as well as crocodiles, hippos, elephant and buffaloes.

Later in the evening proceed to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight at Nyinabulitwa Country Resort or similar

Day 6 - Kibale National Park
After breakfast proceed to the forest for the chimpanzee tracking. Kibale has the largest concentration of chimpanzees and other primates in Uganda.

Lunch in Fort Portal returning to Kampala for dinner and overnight at Cassia Lodge or similar

Day 7
Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
